Our Core program is a recreational program built on the Six Philosophies of Everyone Plays®, Balanced Teams, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship, Open Registration and Player Development.

Fall 2025 Core Program:
Spring Core program runs from September to November  This program is for ages 5-15. Registration for the Fall season is OPEN.  There are discounts for multi-family players. 

Early Bird registration: 15 April -15 May 2025 
Regular registration: 16 May - 16 June 2025 
Late registration: 17 June - 31 June 2025 

Sibling discounts: 1st- $25, 2nd -$50, 3rd - $75

Practices begin week of August 11 ( For teams that have one certified coach)
 
Games begin on 6 September  and end  8 November 

Volunteer coaches, referee, team parents, field support and region board members are needed for this program. Coaches and team parents register for each season. Once registered from previous season, there is very little need to update certifications.  For questions, contact [email protected]. 

Every player plays ¾ of the game.

Most games are local.   All U6-U8 are at Van Buren Elementary School.  U10 -U14 games are played at home with some games at Orange, Costa Mesa, Irvine, etc.

Costs are low.  The total cost for insurance, uniforms, pictures, field maintenance,  is hundreds of dollars less than Club programs.

The best way to guarantee a spot for your child on a team is to register as a coach. 
The coach selects the time and day(s) that fits the coach's schedule.  Coach training and equipment are provided by the region. Mentors are available for coaches who would like additional support for practices and games.  

Referees can select the games and times that meet their schedule so they do not conflict with their children's games.  Referee training and equipment are provided by the region. Mentors are available for help during games.  Referees register once a year in the fall season. For questions contact [email protected] 

The U6 and U8 teams practice once a week.  They will play games on Saturdays at Van Buren Elementary School, Placentia.. 

The U10 - U16 practice twice a week and play games on Saturdays. There is some travel for these age groups to other neighboring regions in the area.  Home games are either Jean Woodard Park, Yorba Linda or Champions Sport Complex, Placentia. 
 
The region Commissioner Cup is on on 14 through 16 November.  All teams that have volunteer points are included in the tournament. 

The Commissioner Cup winners in each division, play in the area tournment on 6 and 7 December.  Location is TBD. 


The Winter 2025 All Stars program for Fall 2025 AYSO registered players.  This is a separate program December 2025 and January 2026. Tyouts are in November 2025. 

Registration includes uniform (jersey, shorts and socks), insurance, pictures, practice, coach and referee training and equipment, and game field costs. If you have any questions, please contact [email protected].

Fall 2025 Preschool Camps:

Schoolyard Program
The schoolyard program is within the Core program registration. This is a separate program from the core program.  This program is for 4 year old kids (2021 birth year), who are new to soccer.  This program is designed to provide players with soccer skills and game experiences so they are better prepared for entering the organized practice and game program.  These sessions are led by professional coaches.  The children will do fun drills and then break off into teams and scrimmage against each other. This program is on Friday evenings for one hour at 6 PM.  The program begins 12 September and ends 7 November  

The one hour practice contains skills and game (scrimmages) experience.  Volunteer coaches are needed to help with the scrimmages. 

Registration includes professional coaches, uniform, insurance, and field costs.

Playground Program
The Playground Program is within the Core program registration. This is a separate program from the Core program. This program is for 3 year old kids (2021 birth year).  This program is a parent and me activity, introducing them to soccer and having fun. Parents are required to participate with their children on the field during the session. These sessions are led by professional coaches.  The children will do fun drills and games. This program is on Friday evenings for one hour at 5 PM.  The program begins 12 September and ends 7 November

Registration includes professional coaches, t-shirt, insurance, and field costs.
