Serving YORBA LINDA /PLACENTIA for 15 years!!!!

Spring 2022 Core Program This program is for ages 3-15. Registration for the spring season begins with Early Bird registration 1-31 December 2021.  This has a discount for registering early.  Regular registration is 1-31 January 2022. Registration after 31 January will not guarantee players a spot on a team.  Practices begin week of 14 Feb. Games begin on 5 March and end on 14 May. Volunteer coaches, referee, team parents and field support are needed for this program. The best way to guarantee a spot for your child on a team is to register as a coach. The age brackets do not change for the spring season. Changes in the California law now require all volunteers over age of 18 to be fingerprinted and take an extra course called safe sport. (It is a short one line course)  There will be more information at the parents orientation meeting on 12 January.  Current referees take a refresher course for any new rules changes. The U6 and U8 teams practice once a week and play games on Saturday morning.  The U10 - U16 practice twice a week and play games on Saturdays. There is some travel for these age groups to other neighboring regions in the area.  Registration includes uniform (jersey, shorts and socks), insurance, pictures, practice and game field costs. A parent orientation meeting is scheduled for 12 January, 5:30 at the Yorba Linda Community Center. Region 1398 offers several soccer programs for players of varied aged and abilities.  Our soccer programs run year round starting in Fall, the start of our membership year, and end in Summer, the close of our membership year.

Core Program

This is the primary program of AYSO Region 1398 that includes all ages and most players.  Teams are put together in a way that makes playing soccer about the experience, not wins or losses. It’s not about blowing out another team with an unbelievable score;  it’s about sportsmanship and learning to be the best possible team mate and opponent.  Developing players is what we’re about, because soccer skills and life skills go hand in hand. AYSO Region 1398's main purpose is to get kids on the field, provide them with good coaches, and teach them to play soccer.

VIP Program

AYSO Region 1398 is proud to offer a very special program for children and adults with physical or mental disabilities. Our VIP (Very Important Player) program provides a safe, fun environment with trained coaches and volunteers who facilitate an enriching experience that the players and their families will cherish forever. Buddies assist during the games in which players learn soccer while meeting new friends, having fun and increasing skills and self-esteem. Players and their families, along with the volunteers, enjoy the complete AYSO experience – team uniforms, scoring goals, cheering from the sidelines, and the list goes on!

Fees (include field costs, lights, insurance, uniform jersey, socks, shorts):
All divisions = $70.00 ($50 for player fee; $20.00 for AYSO National Fee)

EXTRA Program

EXTRATM is a program that offers organized soccer for players who want to play at a more competitive level. Club soccer teams are in place in many parts of the country, but for those who want to play harder and still be a part of AYSO, EXTRATM is perfect.

EXTRATM gives athletes whose interests and abilities lead them to a more progressive soccer experience. You can feel secure knowing your child is part of a trusted organization and will be given fair playing time. EXTRATM doesn’t take away from the regular program, but adds to the strength of the organization by keeping players and their families in AYSO.
