What is AYSO Playground?
AYSO Playground is an early childhood development program designed to help young children build fundamental motor skills through fun soccer-based activities. Working alongside a parent or guardian, children develop skills such as balance, coordination, running, jumping, and social interaction in a positive and supportive environment.
This program is designed for children ages 3–4 and serves as a fun “parent and me” introduction to soccer. Parents or guardians are required to participate with their child on the field during each session. Sessions are led by professional coaches with parent involvement and feature engaging games, activities, and age-appropriate drills.
Who Can Participate?
Children born between August 1, 2022 and July 31, 2023 are eligible to participate.
When and Where Does Playground Take Place?
Sessions are held at Yorba Linda Middle School (4777 Casa Loma Ave, Yorba Linda - enter the field through the Tommy Lasorda Field House entrance) every Friday at 5:00 PM during the season.
Fall 2026 Season is September 11 through November 13.
Is There Competition in AYSO Playground?
No. AYSO Playground is a non-competitive program focused on helping children develop fundamental motor skills, hand-eye coordination, confidence, and social skills in a safe and encouraging environment.
